Anti-Aging Secret – Natural Hand Cream
We would love to share with you one of our best anti-aging secrets – natural hand cream. The skin on our hands is so often overlooked in favour of the facial skin. Yet our hands are in constant use, and are therefore exposed to the environment more so than your face. The skin on the back of our hands is much thinner, and can be quicker to show the signs of age-related damage - including uneven skin tone, dryness, wrinkles and pigmentation spots. This is where a natural hand cream comes in.
It is essential to take good care of your hands! Our Savar Advanced Hand Repair is an anti-aging natural hand cream like no other – it feeds nails, making a fabulous cuticle cream and also works wonders on dry and cracked heels. Deeply hydrating, it is non-greasy and quickly absorbed. Better yet, this natural hand cream contains a wide range of premium botanical extracts and oils to help soothe the skin and protect it against damage.
New Zealand avocado oil, organic violet, and lime flower are among a few of the premium natural ingredients that not only make this natural hand cream a balm for dry and sensitive skins, it also helps to soothe conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
Using our Savar natural anti aging hand cream a few times each day will make a big difference to your hands and you will thank yourself in the long-run!

Savar Skincare Tips - The Benefits of a Natural Toner
We love natural toners at Savar, as they provide so many benefits for your skin, yet are so underrated. They are very beneficial for those with oily or acne-prone skin, or people who wear facial make up or heavier face products such as sunscreen.
Applying your natural toner to a cotton wool pad and gently wiping your facial skin after cleansing will remove any excess make up or oil left on your skin. A good natural skincare toner will also help close pores and quickly rebalance your skin at the same time.
A natural toner can also help bind moisture to your skin as well as refresh and revitalise your skin and is ideal to set make up and relieve dryness from air-conditioning at work or while travelling.
Toners really are a multi functional moisture boost that reduces shine and brightens your skin leaving it feeling radiant and refreshed.

Best Natural Skincare Products For Your 20’s
Finding the best natural skincare products is essential at any age, yet difference ages need different things. Most people in their 20’s will have the benefit of youth on their side, so they won’t be showing too many signs of ageing and are likely to still be producing plenty of collagen to ensure skin regularly and competently renews itself. Therefore, here are some suggestions for the best natural skincare products if you’re in your 20’s:
Younger skin is more likely to produce excessive oil. Therefore, using a natural facial wash, rather than cream cleanser, is a better way to remove all dirt, grime and oil. Toning is a great way to remove any excess make up or grime that your natural face wash has not removed, so invest in a good quality, natural face wash and natural toning spritz to keep skin hydrated and oil-free.
Whilst ageing won’t yet be a huge concern if you’re in your 20’s, it’s still a good idea to take preventative measures by find a natural skincare moisturiser that’s suitable for your skin type. This should include a natural day cream, and a natural night cream that have been formulated to work with your skin type.

Plant Based Face Wash – Great For Men and Women
A plant based face wash is a key ingredient to healthy skin, regardless of skin type, age or sun damage. Gentle treatment from a plant based face wash encourages normal collagen production and ensures your skin stays smooth and radiant. What’s more, it helps protect your face from environmental damage, reduces pore sizes and controls sebum production.
Our Savar soap free plant-based face wash is 99% natural and enriched with premium botanical extracts and oils. It’s ingredients include lace bark (regarded for its superior soothing and protecting abilities), organic cucumber (a fabulous hydrator that doubles as a toner) and lemon fruit (which softens, cleanses and brightens).
Gentle enough to keep your skin healthy, our multi-tasking plant based face wash is also a great makeup remover - instantly and gently dissolving makeup, and can be safely used on all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Being a multi-tasking unisex face wash it is also a fabulous natural shaving gel, as creates a gentle foam and a good glide for your razor to work over without snagging and causing the razor to catch on hairs or skin. If shaving tends to irritate your skin – whether male or female, this plant based face wash acts as a great shaving gel with warm water.

Why We Love Our Savar Security Team
If you follow Savar on social media, you will have noticed that we tend to joke about our lovely security team – our two miniature schnauzers, Nico and Mila. These two are Vicky Woolford (director)’s dogs that she brings into work each day. Regardless of the humour that they bring into the workplace, it has been established that dogs in the work place provide many benefits to employees and the dogs themselves. Here are several benefits and why we love Nico and Mila:
Dogs offer social support for employees with their cheerful attention, they are proven to put people at ease and improve social life. In a work place, this is great as increases the network and cooperation between employees.
Dogs encourage exercise – as need to be walked twice a day. This is good for both the dog and human physical and mental health. Taking a break by getting out into the sunshine and fresh air does wonders for one’s health and productivity.
So too, it has been proven that petting a dog reduces stress, blood pressure and changes physiological state into a more relaxed mode. Employees see this as a valuable employment perk.
Most importantly, it is great for Nico and Mila! They are included in Vicky’s day, instead of being left isolated at home. They are better socialised and more relaxed, as encounter a wide variety of people each day. Not to mention, the adore the attention they get.
Before you bring your pet into the workplace however, it is important to ensure no employees have allergies, and to abide by health and safety restrictions. Nico and Mila are kept to the office – where they are healthy and happy.
Nico and Mila make the workplace more relaxed, productive and enjoyable! They are a special addition to our fabulous team, and bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Dry skin or oily skin - Identifying your skin type
With many different natural beauty products aimed at different skin types, it is essential to know what products are best for your skin.
Dry Skin –when your skin begins to feel dry (whether due to stress, climate, allergies among other things), this is actually your skin showing signs of dehydration. Your skin is not effectively producing enough oil to keep it supple and smooth. If you have dry skin your skin may be sensitive and you may notice flaky skin when examined closely. Skin can feel tight and rough, and look dull. This is because your skin produces less sebum than normal, therefore doesn’t retain moisture or build protective shields as effectively as normal skin.
Dry skin is a long-term skin issue that needs to be addressed with a suitable natural skincare routine and premium quality skincare products, as well as extra pampering treatments, such as a moisture boosting mask and plenty of nightly moisturiser.
Oily skin – when your skin produces too much sebum/oil. If you have oily skin you may notice that it has a glossy shine, and invisible pores. Oily skin can be caused by a number of things, including genetics, hormonal imbalances, medication or stress.
It is Important to remember that even oily skin needs regular moisturising. However, you should seek out a moisturiser that is specifically formulated for oily skin. It is recommended that you use a natural face wash and a light toner instead of a heavier cream cleanser, to ensure no residue is left to block your pores. You should also avoid anything harsh that completely strips oil from your skin – as your skin will overcompensate by producing more! The key is to follow a regular routine including a thorough cleanse, a balancing and residue removing toner and calming natural moisturiser.
Combination skin – this is when your skin is a combination of skin types. You may be oily in the T-zone, and dry or normal on your cheeks.
Remember that there is no one universal answer – everybody’s skin type is slightly different. It is critical that you identify your skin type and treat it accordingly!

Five Uses for Our Natural Hydrating Antioxidant Moisture Mask
Natural moisture masks are one of the most versatile beauty products you can have in your beauty cupboard as they can be used for so many different things. Here are five of our favourite ways to use our Hydrating Antioxidant Moisture Mask:
First, a natural mask is the ideal thirst-quenching moisture boost for any skin type that’s in need of a bit of TLC. This can be used as a leave-on or wash-off mask depending on how dry or dehydrated your skin is, so it’s especially handy for those who have very changeable skin
If you’ve run out of your usual day or night cream, our natural plant-based mask can be used as temporary replacement. Just use a small amount and work it into skin until fully absorbed.
Our natural mask can be used for any areas in need of a rich nourishment, such as hands or feet. Apply liberally to hands or feet, then put one some cotton-rich gloves or socks and leave for as long as you can – ideally overnight – for a huge difference to your dry skin.
Flyaway hair is a tricky problem to solve, but use a tiny bit of our plant-based mask to tame it. Just work a small amount over your hands, then run your hands over hair to tame flyaways and frizz – this is an especially useful tip in humidity, when hair can go a bit crazy!
Extremely dry or chapped lips can be fixed with a layer of this used like a mask. Just apply, leave for a few minutes and wipe away. This is also a great thing to do just before lipstick application as it will smooth and plump your lips, making them a perfect canvas for lipstick.
Don’t forget you can decant a bit of our natural hydrating antioxidant moisture mask into a travel-friendly container and take it away with you so you can use it for all the above purposes without taking lots of heavy products!
