5 tips For Healthy Radiant Skin
| Healthy looking skin is what we all want and there are a few things you can do to help achieve it.Moisturise. It’s an obvious one but generally facial skin that looks lacklustre is lacking moisture, so it’s important to keep skin hydrated with natural skincare products. A lot of people who suffer from oily skin tend to skip the moisturising step thinking that it’ll make the oiliness worse, but all skin needs moisture and people with oily skin types can often have skin that appears dehydrated due to skipping this vital step.
Exfoliate. Exfoliating is another vital step in ensuring skin looks healthy. Exfoliating involves removing the dead skin cells that build-up on the skin, giving it a dull and flat appearance. There are two types of exfoliators, chemical and manual. Manual exfoliators are usually creams that have small pieces in them that manually buff away dead skin, whereas chemical exfoliators contain fruit acids that break down the dead skin on the surface. Generally speaking, chemical exfoliators are better for dry skin and manual exfoliators are better for oily skin, but there are no hard and fast rules and often it’s a case of personal preference. Eat well! It’s another incredibly obvious one but there are regular examples of people who spend a fortune on natural skincare yet neglect the simple approach of adding skin-loving foods to their diet. If you don’t want to make big changes to your diet, just remember ACE; foods that are high in Vitamins A, C and E are great for your skin. Stress less. Easier said than done, but stress really shows itself on the skin by creating all sorts of problems like breakouts and dullness. Whilst it’s not always possible to eradicate stress from your life, it is possible to make time for yourself. Giving yourself an at-home facial (or booking in for a professional treatment if you can) will not only benefit your skin, but also ensure you enjoy some time-out from your hectic life. Don’t overload with make-up. When your skin is looking less than perfect, it’s easy to assume that pilling on the make-up will improve its appearance but often it just highlights the problem. Usually all facial skin needs to perk up is a good dose of tinted moisturiser, a cream blush and a highlighter; all three of these items can make a significant difference to the brightness of your skin and result in healthy, radiant skin. Our favourite tip for a tinted moisturiser is to use a mineral powder foundation and mix it with your favourite Savar premium natural skincare moisturiser or Serum. If you want a concealer or heavier coverage tinted moisturiser add more mineral powder – if you want a lighter coverage add more moisturiser. Cheers Vicky and the team Savar premium natural skincare
